The Intellareturn system can read serialized item asset tags using Electronic Product Code (EPC) numbering or any other TCP/IP communications protocols — like Internet Protocol Version 6 ("IPv6"). The RFID reader can send the serialized URL and unique identifier — such as a unique serial number that identifies the transponder — to the Intellareturn Return Server. This process effectively manages owner identification and related return processing functions of any selected item.
